THE ROAD TO RICHES

Riches are of the mind. Let us suppose for a moment that a physician's diploma was stolen together with his office equipment. I am sure you would agree that his wealth was in his mind. He could still carry on, diagnose disease, prescribe, operate, and lecture on materia medica. Only his symbols were stolen; he could always get additional supplies. His riches were in his mental capacity, knowledge to help others, and his ability to contribute to humanity in general.

You will always be wealthy when you have an intense desire to contribute to the good of mankind. Your urge for service—i.e., to give of your talents to the world—will always find a response in the heart of the universe.

I knew a man in New York during the financial crisis of 1929, who lost everything he had including his home and all his life's savings. I met him after a lecture which I had given at one of the hotels in the city. This was what he said: "I lost everything. I made a million dollars in four years. I will make it again. All I have lost is a symbol. I can again attract the symbol of wealth in the same way that honey attracts flies."

I followed the career of this man for several years to discover the key to his success. The key may seem strange to you; yet it is a very old one. The name he gave the key was, "Change water into wine!" He read this passage in the Bible, and he knew it was the answer to perfect health, happiness, peace of mind, and prosperity.

Wine in the Bible always means the realization of your desires, urges, plans, dreams, propositions, etc.; in other words, it is the things you wish to accomplish, achieve, and bring forth.

Water in the Bible usually refers to your mind or consciousness. Water takes the shape of any vessel into which it is poured; likewise, whatever you feel and believe as true will become manifest in your world; thus you are always changing water into wine.

The Bible was written by illumined men; it teaches practical, everyday psychology and a way of life. One of the cardinal tenets of the Bible is that you determine, mould, fashion, and shape your own destiny through right thought, feeling, and beliefs. It teaches you that you can solve any problem, overcome any situation, and that you are born to succeed, to win, and to triumph. In order to discover the Royal Road to Riches, and receive the strength and security necessary to advance in life, you must cease viewing the Bible in the traditional way.

The above man who was in a financial crisis used to say to himself frequently during the days when he was without funds, "I can change water into wine!" These words meant to him, "I can exchange the poverty ideas in my mind for the realization of my present desires or needs which are wealth and financial supply."

His mental attitude (water) was, "Once I made a fortune honestly. I will make it again (wine)." His regular affirm-ation consisted of, "I attracted the symbol (money) once, I am attracting it again. I know this, and feel it is true (wine)."

This man went to work as a salesman for a chemical organization. Ideas for the better promotion of their pro-ducts came to him; he passed them on to his organization. It was not long until he became vice president. Within four years the company made him president. His constant mental attitude was, "I can change water into wine!"

Look upon the story in John of changing water into wine in a figurative way, and say to yourself as the above men-tioned chemical salesman did: "I can make the invisible ideas, urges, dreams, and desires of mine visible, because I have discovered a simple, universal law of mind."

The law he demonstrated is the law of action and reaction. It means your external world, body, circumstances, envi-ronment, and financial status are always a perfect reflection of your inner thinking, beliefs, feelings, and convictions. This being true, you can now change your inner pattern of thought by dwelling on the idea of success, wealth, and peace of mind. As you busy your mind with these latter concepts, these ideas will gradually seep into your men-tality like seeds planted in the ground. As all seeds (thoughts and ideas) grow after their kind, so will your habitual thinking and feeling manifest in prosperity, success, and peace of mind. Wise thought (action) is followed by right action (reaction).

You can acquire riches when you become aware of the fact that prayer is a marriage feast. The feast is a psychological one; you meditate on (mentally eat of) your good or your desire until you become one with it.

I think possibly it is because there is so little here.. there is little to do, little to see, you almost automatically end up calming your mind and just living.. which leads me to my next point and my next en devour i want to help people make money... and I want to make more Money every year for the rest of my life.

Time for a new post- Am in a re- birth phase and really really happy.. I know now that I can do anything. God is in me and God is perfect. Life is perfect, life is beautiful. God helps me in every way.. That is going to be huge for me and I really am excited and thankful for it!!!!

Onto the Post!!! Todays post is about my Garden and how far it has come!! my Garden brings me Joy,, it really does. anyways I am going to write about the pictures that I am about to take..

1. My lettuce garden. I have Grand Rapid Lettuce and Romaine Lettuce in this garden. It has done so well. I put a bunch of half composted fruit ect... into the soil when I planted this garden and it really took off!!!
2. These are my tomato plants these ones need to be staked!! so I am going to take a before and after picture because I have the ability to stake them in literally30 seconds. There are so many great things about having a yard- the best part about it for me is making it look reallly nice on a budget, doing smart additions that make sense!!! I 've got two stawberry plants that are located behind the tomatoes
3. Pea Patch!!!! Love this one it is going yield soo many peas and we planted it from seed!!!!! :)!!
4.carrots going great!!
5. garlic, red onions and potatoes.
6. Herbs Garden - Cat nip, basil, chives, lavander, lemon balm

What I am trying to say is that we may put to much stock in self-preservation in the physical sense in terms of resting enough and eating well, when to preserve health and the body we should be working more with the mind...by allowing only good thoughts into our minds when we do this everything else will be good because we are good and then that becomes our reality...next time someone asks me to do something or needs my help with something that may seem to have no benefit to the human body conventionally...I will do it and it will do me more good than if I decided to carry on sleeping ..This will make all the difference

Just heard news that my Oldest friend passed away. Mr. Bowie was a very special man, I knew him for my entire life, he was 93 years old. Mr. Bowie graduated from his second undergrad from McGill at the age of 79 (or around that age). One piece of advice Mr. Bowie gave me was "it is easier to carry knowledge than a load of bricks" This man was an officer in the Navy in World War II and I was privileged to have known him and been able to learn so much about the war from him, I learned so much about life from him. Thank you Mr. Bowie, may you be with Jesus now. God Bless Mr. Bowie...the world is loosing amazing people I hope we can all take the time to appreciate our fellow human beings while they are here and learn as much as we can from them.Least us NEVER forget how we got here...

I just poured out about 500mls of water down the sink because it sat out for about 8 hours and i heard if you leave out water it is not great to drink it. It sucked to empty all that water down the sewar we should be saving our water...we need to get an amazing purifying system that isnt to expesive and can treat all types of contaminated water easily, cheaply and safely...

Havent posted all sum summ summma...it has been a good one. since april I completed term 2 of the MBA which went really well.. felt like I was alot more in the swing of the classes ...anywhoo we were able to participate in a charity event called the silly boat race nanaimo www.sillyboat.com then I went back to Ontario for 18 days then California for 6 days...it was great and it feels good to be back in Nanaimo getting ready to get after the next two months of school and then on to my internship which is still up in the air right now.. I just got a preliminary offer at The Make-a-Wish Foundation Canada which is really really really exciting it could be a great jump start to my career and could lead me in a number of great directions with alot of great companies/ fields I am partially writting this blog so i can look back on it and see where i was at this point/this day in my life.... if you are reading this Sean in 5 years...HEY DUDE HOPE EVERYTHING IS GOING WONDERFULLY...GIVE ME A SHOUT OUT (Sean from 5 years ago(in five years to Sean from 5 years from now) I should go for a run(Sean from 5 years from now) haha that was fun..Anyways today/these days I am doing alot of life thinkin latly...THINKNEWGREEN was a word i just looked up i am goin to try and reserve it on blogspot.com since its free anyways hope y'all enjoyed my blog today immana try n keep it goinn :)

Hopefully all of the nations on earth benifit from this, if we use these stimuli correctly we will be able to come out of this as a nation of happiness, this means that everyone should be able to have a roof over thier head and food in their stomachs....if we as humans can provide that we are doing an amazing thing and look how far we have come in the past 100years WWII actually had a purpose and if we institue this stimulus package that can stimulate global trade as Adam Smith says everyone will be better off, imagine if we could be waking up to a cup of fair traded coffee from Burkina Faso, enjoying the worlds finest honey from Djibuti... I have friends in my class that tell me African Soil is the most fertile on Earth... Interessting. You heard it hear first... this is going to be a HUGE week in the markets...I think ford and GM will both end the week around the 4 Dollar mark...just remember you heard it hear first!!! haha anyways now that that is off my chest, we went over to our neighbors places last night did a Madrona Village Crawl to Dans place and also to Ians place it was an awsome night!!!! Right now Leah is making energy bars and we are listing to van morrison moondance album song crazy love...on vinal here is the picture of the record player right now(see picture above) and yeah it is going really well out on the west coast on this sleepy sunday afternoon. I miss everyone back home. At the same time i know that this life is a gift and time here is short. I have been doing alot of research today and over the past 4 years of my life on the history of Judea around the time of Christ. It is unbelievaly terrible ....Herod ordering the death of all Children under 2 years old, Herods son (Herod)and Pontius Pilate not knowing what to do with Jesus. Jesus said to Pilate when Pilate asked him what his purpose was....He said that he "came into the world ... to bear witness to the truth; and all who are on the side of truth listen to my voice" Amazing stuff. Wow! Guess i some how lost a day in there anyways today is pretty cool so far...I am starting this new blog its called viumba.blogspot.com it is called an accountability blog because there are a bunch of students who want more interaction with faculity although we are doing pretty good. Yesterday I got to goto a thank you lunch for some people who donated money to the management building it was at a place called the discovery room at VIU the culanary program puts it on, someone was telling me that we produce some of the best chefs on earth, we have a chef at the ritz carlton egypt as the head chef one is the personal chef for the sheik of dubai, so the food was pretty good. Had lunch with the head of the Economics dept. and some other pretty cool ppl...the viu was beautiful looking across the Georgia straight to the Coast mountains of Canada WOW!!! anyways I miss everyone back home and Love you all! cant wait until we get some visitors here are three pics i just toook

Hey Y'all...

Been a few days since my last post! I have been sick as a dawg! i got a bad cold that just knocked me off my feet for about 2 days there! whewww!! but i am feeling way better now..it is a really rainy day here out in Nanaimo so i am going to lay low for one more day! BUT! tomorrow I got a tee off at Pryde Vista golf course with some buddies so I am lookin forward to that! So I registered my first business the other day! "Silversword Networks inc." cool name huh? It is inspired by the silversword flower of the Haleakala Volcanoe or the bigger half of maui!!! anyways this flower only grows in the active volcanoes crater!!!! so it had to be my logo! check it out at the top! that is being printed out and put on my wall!!!!!!! anyways quite the weekend, saw our biggest party to date here with a bunch of guys from the MBA not to mention my bro Niall and Byers came over for the weekend, we went on a hike last sat here is a pic!!

Just got back from sushi with Lee-bee... i got california rolls she got tuna and salmon rolls!!! anyways life has been really exciting the past week. The PMBA program has gotten into full swing and I am really tryin to stay on top of my stuff! So far so good.. anyways For my marketing project, I am doing a marketing outline for a company called Hawaiian Sun soft drinks. these soft drinks are different then other softdrinks because they have 100% of the daily recomended dosage of vitamine c and they are made with cane sugar instead of High Fructose corn syrop! so I am doing those and its going to be pretty good i think. the long fist week!!!

Hello Again!
It has been a few days since my last entry! Last week was my first week of Orientation at VIU! I went to all the sessions that they set up for us and picked up a couple of really good tips.. One prof told us that if there was one peice of advice that he could give us it would be 'do one course to your utmost' meaning that when you hand in a paper you know that it is the best absolutle quality paper that you could have written,, and just know the material so you can ace the tests..Thought that it was great advice and am definatly gonna try and do that! We had our first party on last thursday night! It was really fun a bunch of guys from the program came by and we had some beers and chilled out it was cool to get to know some of the guys there is such a multicultural flare to the MBA program so far, I am really excited to learn more about places like Venesula and what is going on there with Chavez as well as China, Thailand, India and Mexico but there are people from all over the place its really cool!Our friends from Queen's University came to town this weekend! It was a blast! We decided to goto Sooke and stayed at this wild cabin B&B about 15 minutes north of sooke it was really secluded but the view was amazing and the breakfast was a do-it yourself style in the kitchen but it was really good too.. anyways We had a great bond fire on the beach and went to a really cool diner called Mom's cafe. My friend 'Boost' from Thailand came along he starts his foundation classes today, Mine start tomorrow and I have Economics and Accounting!!!!!! Exciting!!!!!!
ps. Last weekend Leah and I went camping at Newcastle Island which is and island right in the nanaimo harbour that has been designated a national part! There is one man who lives there named Steve I think he is Sneneimeaux (nanaimo) which is the name of the first nations people here. So Leah and I got a tent site right on the beach and the Island was pretty much ours for the night.. We saw star fish, jelly fish, deer and one deer with antlers as well as LOTS of raccoons! So thats all for now folks I am off for a bike ride to pick up some school books!!

So today was a cool day first time we have seen clouds in a while! but it was a cool change and kinda smelt like florida! so anyways Leah went to a literacy tutorial at a Nanaimo Distric Secondary and got some free books and I helped a friend of mine out here put siding up on some condos in our unit...

Hey Again,
Just thought i'd share a lunch reciepe with anyone who will read this...
ingediants-1 whole wheat pita
-tomatoe sauce (pasta sauce from a jar is good!)
- 1 mushroom
- 1/4 green pep
- cheese!
anyways it is very simple.. pretty much makes it self just pop it in the oven at 400 for 5 mins and u gota a pizza... i try and use alot of cheese,, and feta ontop if i got it... also pepper and hot sauce is good on it too!!

Good Morning from the west coast!

It looks like we are in for another beutiful day out here today, a little breezy chill in the morning but that is what its always like out here i think its commin off the ocean! anyways last night Leah got home from school and really wanted to do something fun since she has to work late tonight, so we went up to this beach called Rathtrevor park...it was amazing you could walk out for like 500 meters at least and the water was just above my waist! we saw harbour seals and all sorts of shells... luckily no killer whales... anyways here are some pics from our adventure yesterday!

Hello Again!

Well I have read my first chapter of school work...chapter one in marketing i actually really liked it they talked about how marketing really isnt advertising it is more relationship building resulting in a mutually rewarding trade of value. Talked about how delighting a customer can result in a life long true friend relationship. Anyways I am talking to my buddy Ryan from highschool and we are talking about potentially doing a bike ride from LA to vancouver for charity, getting sponsors and the whole thing.. i hope it happens! wow that woulde be cool! I would support world vision and some others! anyways watched a Bob Hope movie last night called my favorit brunette fell asleep but it was pretty good!! here is last nights sunset over mount benson ... actually its kindof a view of the school behind out place mount benson is to the left!!

Hi Folks,

Well I am sittin out on my back porch it is about 20 degrees goin up to about 30 today! so far BC is great! I have been doing alot of relaxin and alot of exersizing/exploring, So far since being out here I have climbed 2 mountains went for a bunch of runs and bike rides by the ocean. Made it out to vancouver which was an amazing time..So much fun to be had in vancouverhaha, anyways it has been great living with Leah she is really nice and we get along so well , we have been expierimenting in the kitchen and have finally got the place looking how we want it to look! I bought the easle that leah is painting on at costco the other day and paited my first masterpeice last week (see the pic of the apple above!) other than that things are good i went to the book store today and picked up 2 books (155$!!!) for my Pre-mba courses which start in 8 days!! so eight days before the really fun stuff starts! haha anyways i built a cedar bench last week for our porch im sittin on it right now as i write this first blog!
